When did Lasalle stop being part of a democratic society?

When is it ever right for one group of people to tell another group of people to NOT exercise their legal right to participate in a community consultation process?? 
Today, the promoters of the Habitations du Vieux Moulin did exactly that when they distributed flyers to every home in the Village du Rapides urging residents NOT to vote on the 21st.
There is no voting on Wednesday 21st September, simply a Register for residents to sign so that Ville Lasalle will hold a REFERENDUM in December, a referendum where all residents from all zones can vote for or against the project.  The REGISTER is not about choosing sides, it is about community participation and demanding a say in the way our neighbourhood is being developed
The promoters of Les Habitations du Vieux Moulin do not want the residents of the Village des Rapides to have any input into the size or form or style of the building that is planned for the Old Allion site.  Instead they want the local residents to shut up and watch while our peaceful, low-rise, low density neighbourhood is transformed into a high rise, high density neigbourhood.
Please have your say on September 21st. 
Sign the register and help put control over the future of the Bronx back into the hands of the residents, and out of the hands of the promoters and politicians.
